She said, "When you do characters like one in Aitraaz, Fashion or Kaminey, there are certain peripheries."
"For example, Sweety in Kaminey won't be able to speak English or she won't wear jeans and top. They are also difficult, but the boundaries help. When I am playing a simple beautiful looking girl, how do I get your interest?" Priyanka added.
"Heroines ought to look beautiful, it's their work. We look pretty, we wear great clothes but that's our job. But how do I make you feel for her? That's why these films are more difficult," said Priyanka, who has teamed up with Uday Chopra in the film.
Written and produced by Uday, Pyaar Impossible is a romantic tale about a beauty and a geek.
Directed by Jugal Hansraj, it shows how fate brings Uday and Priyanka come together and love blooms amidst all odds.
Talking about her character in Pyaar Impossible, Priyanka said: "I play Alisha who works in a software company. She has always been a popular girl, fun loving and one who loves life."
She said further, "But at a young age she has to take a lot of responsibilities and she finds it difficult to manage and her life becomes chaotic.
Pyaar Impossible is slated to release on Jan 8.
The actress took three months before giving her final consent for the film.
She said, "When I was offered the film, I was shooting for Kaminey. So I told them I will take some time to decide."
"It took me around three months to read the script, but when I read it, I felt I was reading a romantic book or a breezy novel and I immediately called Uday and gave my consent," she added.
The actress said the "breeziness" of her upcoming film Pyar Impossible and the relationship between the geek and the beauty written by Uday Chopra appealed to her.
She said, " It's a beautiful love story - so sensitively written yet so funny. The story is about this guy called Abhay Sharma, and starts off in college. He absolutely loves this girl called Alisha Merchant. He is a little bit of geek. He loves his computer and academics whereas this girl is fun, spunky, spontaneous and the most popular girl in the college."
"They never speak, she doesn't even know he exists. And how one day after she gets out of school, he is heartbroken and then how about 6 – 7 years later, they meet again," adds she.
Priyanka says that she doesn't still know who he is, but this time they come back in each other's life all over again and get to know each other.
Priyanka was all praise for Uday and the way he has sketched the characters.
"Uday is a great human being and a very talented guy. The way he had written the story and sketched my character, they are very close to reality," Priyanka said.
"Uday brings out the madness in me. He is always feeding me. He calls for the best food, and I have a little bit of a weakness for food. He will call for all kinds of cuisines and then I overeat and keep becoming fatter. And he meanwhile will go to the gym and work out," She added.
Priyanka recalled some funny moments she spent with Uday while shooting for the film.
She said, "We have had so many fun times on this film. Crazy things - like we never used to sleep. After pack up Jugal, Uday, Ahmed and me used to go to like 24 hour coffee shops, and stay awake till 6 in the morning and talk just about nothing and everything."
"We used to look at each other and just start laughing. Uday is the best Producer I have worked with. He spoils me silly. I told him, ‘I don't think I will be able to work with anybody else'. He is lovely - as a Producer, as an actor and as a writer," she said further.
Talking about her own character Alisha Merchant, Priyanka says, "She is a girl who gets married when she was really young. She is a little bit of a mess in herself."
"When Abhay sees her, he sees her as a princess who is totally unachievable. She is always trying to please everyone - her friends, her boss, but with Abhay she doesn't have to, she can be just be herself. That's the most beautiful thing about their relation, she adds.
But in real life Priyanka Chopra feels that love is not impossible. She says, "Love is a beautiful thing and I don't think it's something which is impossible."
To a question on carrying the entire film on her shoulders, Priyanka said she believes every film is hers no matter how big a hero is paired opposite her.
Priyanka also gave a glimpse of her future projects. Speaking about her forthcoming film Anjana Anjani with Ranbir Kapoor, she said it was a love story with a 'nice twist'.
While Vishal Bharadwaj's next movie will be a dark comedy and will go on floors middle of next year.
