Here's a look at who all have made it to our list of eight curvy women in Bollywood.
Kareena Kapoor: Did you ever think svelte Kareena with her size zero fascination would make it on this list? Well - she has! At the Filmfare Awards, at the Saturday night reception of newlyweds Riteish and Genelia and clicked recently at the airport, Kareena's few extra kilos made our jaw drop! But that's topsy-turvy Bollywood for you. In a while, Kareena will probably say the extra weight is just extra prep for a new role (Heroine perhaps) and nothing more.
Vidya Balan: She's never lost sleep over the extra kilos. Vidya Balan has always been pleasingly plump and they stood her in good stead in the epic film, The Dirty Picture, when she played a wasted Silk. What's more, Vidya's next film, the tantalizing Kahaani, shows her pregnant! More curves ahead.
Sonakshi Sinha: She apparently lost close to 30 kilos for her debut film Dabangg. Commendable yes, but by no means did it make her a nearly size zero. But with those pretty curves, Sonakshi can rest easy. We haven't seen her on screen since 2010, but if the poster of Rowdy Rathore is anything to go by, the red sari drape is a dream.
Ayesha Takia: The pretty actress scored the biggest hit of her career, Wanted, with Salman Khan. So we assume the brawny Khan would have done his bit to ensure she dropped the extra kilos. The former Complan Girl though has held on to her curvy figure.
Ameesha Patel: 12 years after her debut in the blockbuster Kaho Na… Pyaar Hai, full curves have remained Ameesha's constant companion. Not a bad thing though, especially since she has landed on several “Sexiest Actress” lists over the years.
Rani Mukherjee: She's always had the curves barring the few she lost for Dil Bole Hadippa! With rumours of a wedding in the pipeline with long-time love Aditya Chopra and possibly a role in slick flick Dhoom 3, Rani may shed the kilos but never the curves.
Chitrangada Singh: Sultry, sexy, intense – all used extensively to describe the actress who's never been anywhere near skinny. A size zero body is not one this 35 year old aspires for. She has the curves in the right places and remains among the few unmatched beauties in Bollywood.
Zarine Khan: She was introduced to Bollywood by Salman Khan, so it's quite a mystery how she was ribbed initially as the full-figure version of his former love Katrina Kaif. When her debut film Veer bombed at the box-office, prospects of leading roles dried up too. She was seen in a cameo and item number in Ready, looking curvy pretty this time around.
