Why this professor will never forget this prank by his students

Why this professor will never forget this prank by his students
Students at the Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan were familiar with macro-economics professor Stephen Barrows's policy. If their phone rang in class, Prof Barrows would make them answer on speaker.

So on April 1 this year, when a girl's phone rang in class, the professor thought he'd embarrass another one of his students into keeping their phones off the hook in class.

We have only one word to describe what followed : EPIC.  No wonder it has over 25 million hits in the nine days since it was uploaded on YouTube.

Watch the very mortified Mr Barrows  be left red-faced on video -- and here is a transcript (for the bits where the audio isn't clear)

Classroom: "Answer it." laughter

Student: Uh hello?

Caller: Hello, is this Ms. Nefcy?

Student: Yes

Transcript:

Caller: Hi this is Kevin from the Pregnancy Resource Center. Per your request, I am calling to inform you that the test results have come back positive. Congratulations!

Teacher: Ok I think you might want to shut that down.

Student: Ok thank you

Caller: There's no need to worry. I know you told us the father is no longer in the picture but we will be in contact with your throughout the whole process so don't worry about anything. We provide counseling and other maternity services at no charge.

Student: Thank you I'll call back.

Teacher: Hey, I want to publicly apologize and I'm very sorry.

Student: Um, that's ok I've been expecting this and I already know what I'm gonna name the baby. The first name will be April and the middle name will be Fools.

Teacher: Bonus points! That was awesome

Teacher:
I will treasure that! You can't understand the internal relief! This is good.

Another student: Hey professor, say hi to the camera too!
