Bihar government announces free bus travel for NEET UG 2026 candidates on exam day.

NEET UG 2026: NEET UG Re-Exam 2026 will be conducted on Sunday, June 21, and ahead of the examination, the Bihar government has announced free travel facility in state-run buses for students appearing in the NEET UG 2026 examination. The announcement was made to help candidates travel easily to their examination centres without facing transportation problems.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary shared the information through a post on social media platform X. In the post, he said that all NEET UG candidates will be allowed to travel free of cost in government buses across Bihar. The facility will be available especially for students appearing in the examination.

Apart from free bus travel, the state government has also appealed to district administrations, temples, religious institutions, and non-government organisations to support candidates and their parents. The administration has requested them to arrange drinking water, sattu, and other basic facilities at bus stands, railway stations, and important public places for the convenience of students travelling for the exam.

The announcement has been welcomed by many students and parents, especially those travelling from remote areas to examination centres. The free transportation service is expected to reduce travel stress and help candidates reach exam centres on time.

Meanwhile, some users on social media also suggested that the government should issue detailed information regarding bus routes and timings before the examination day. They said this would help students plan their journey more easily and avoid confusion.

NEET UG is one of the biggest entrance examinations in India conducted for admission to undergraduate medical courses including MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, and other programmes in medical institutions across the country.

The Bihar government's move is being seen as a student-friendly initiative aimed at providing support and convenience during the national-level examination.
