"Result Can't Be Ultimate Goal": PM Urges Students To Strengthen Foundation

A student asks how to balance gaming with studies and says he wants to pursue gaming seriously, but is unsure if he is moving in the right direction. Responding to parents who are concerned about completing certain competitive exams or other studies ahead of time, PM Modi says they should allow students to grow according to their individual strengths.

PM Modi shares his mantra, urging students to 'strengthen your foundation in school, and success in competitive exams will naturally follow.

PM Modi explains that there are two kinds of skills - life skills and professional skills - and students must maintain a balance between the two. He adds that no skill can be learned without observation and knowledge. Life skills develop through a disciplined lifestyle, staying healthy, and building strong communication abilities

In Chapter 3, Preparation with Purpose of Pariksha Pe Charcha, a student asks: 'You say skills are important, but others say marks matter more - which is correct?'

Prime Minister Modi responds that everything requires balance. Your studies, skills, and hobbies should grow together - that balance is the real key to progress.

"Teachers should ensure that their pace is only one step ahead of the students', so that learning remains easy and accessible for them."

When a student asked why parents and teachers often give different suggestions, the Prime Minister responded that this is something that continues throughout life - even for him. He explained that everyone has their own learning pattern; some prefer waking up early, while others study better at different times. The first step, he said, is to trust your own pattern. But at the same time, it's important to listen to others' advice and incorporate it if you feel it will help you improve.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun interacting with students at the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme.

During the Charcha, the Prime Minister will also engage with parents and teachers, guiding them on how to better support students in achieving their dreams and goals.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address over 4.5 crore students, parents and teachers in 15 minutes at his annual student outreach initiative "Pariksha Pe Charcha".

This year's edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha stands out for its multi-city format, being conducted simultaneously from five locations - including the Prime Minister's residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi, along with regional centres in Devmogra, Coimbatore, Raipur and Guwahati. 

In alignment with NEP 2020, the PPC concept is aimed at reshaping the examination experience of students by fostering confidence, positivity, and holistic well-being, and celebrating the exam season as a Utsav.

According to an official release from Ministry of Education, the Prime Minister has condensed his views in his book titled "Exam Warriors", available in multiple languages as well as Braille, where he has stressed belief in self and underscored the need to talk about these issues so that our children have the fun-filled childhood they deserve.

PM Modi To Adress Students In One Hour. 

Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 will be broadcast live on Doordarshan channels including DD National, DD News and DD India, along with major private television networks and All India Radio. The programme will also be streamed live on official digital platforms such as the PMO, Ministry of Education (MoE), Doordarshan and MyGov.in, as well as social media and online platforms including YouTube (MoE), Facebook Live and Swayam Prabha channels.

The 2026 edition of PM Narendra Modi's "Pariksha Pe Charcha" emphasizes transforming examinations into a celebration, while also highlighting the contributions of our Freedom Fighters and promoting initiatives such as  Save India and Clean India. 

As part of the run-up to Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, student-centric engagement activities were organized across schools nationwide including the Swadesh Sankalp Daud, a student-led run/walk promoting the spirit of self-reliance, and  quiz and writing competitions held at identified Kendriya Vidyalayas on Parakram Diwas. Approximately 4.81 crore students participated in these activites. 

This year's Pariksha Pe Charcha has recorded approximately 4.2 crore registrations from students, 25 lakh from parents and 6 lakh from teachers. 

During the event, PM Modi engages with students, parents and teachers from across the country, sharing guidance on how to approach board and entrance examinations in a calm, confident and stree-free manner, while also addressing broader issues related to learning and personal growth.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address students today at 10 am as part of his annual flagship programme, Pariksha Pe Charcha, which aims to promote stress-free examinations and holistic learning.
