New Delhi: A day ahead of the Delhi election, main rivals Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal found different ways of de-stressing after a high-voltage campaign.
Kiran Bedi, the BJP's presumptive chief minister, visited a gurdwara at Krishna Nagar, the constituency from where she is contesting her first ever election. She was seen making rotis for the langar, or meal served to devotees.
"I am not doing it for the first time. I learnt it from my family, from my grandparents, from my childhood. I learnt humanity. I believe in all religions. It's all up to God now," Ms Bedi told reporters later.
In the final lap of the fierce battle for Delhi, the 65-year-old former police officer was seen to project a softer image; she broke down during one roadshow and in another, she said she "loves Delhi and comes as a mother."
Arvind Kejriwal, who is also running for chief minister, too appeared to appease the gods as he visited gurdwaras, temples and a church today.
"I will go to all temples and gurdwaras in my constituency today. I pray to God that let truth triumph and let the common man win," Mr Kejriwal said.
He began the day with yoga and was also filmed taking a haircut.
The BJP is seen to be facing a tough challenge in Delhi from Arvind Kejriwal and his party despite its winning streak since last year's national election.
Mr Kejriwal has accused the BJP of resorting to desperate tactics because of surveys that have given his party an edge in the Delhi polls, the results of which will be announced on Tuesday.
