Bangalore: The e-pursuit to realise academic dreams

Bangalore: Aspiring engineers and medicos in Bangalore can now heave a sigh of relief. After school, there is no need for them to rush for special tutorial classes. With the concept of e-learning fast catching up among Bangalore's Gen Y, students can now take their tutorials from the comfort of their homes.

ClearConcepts, one such organization in Bangalore, providing online tutorials to students, said that more number of students and parents are open to the idea of online tutorials.

"Ours is a new organization founded in 2009. However, we started providing coaching only this year. The feedback is tremendous as lot of students and parents are showing interest in joining the tutorials. Currently, on a pilot basis, we are giving online tuition to 15 aspiring engineers," said former Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bombay alumnus and one of the founders of ClearConcepts, Sanjay Mansabdar.

"Our students come home after school, relax, then attend our live online, interactive classes, thus saving a lot of time and energy," he added. Mansabdar, along with his batch-mate Deepak Babu, is coaching students to prepare for IIT-JEE, AIEEE and Birla Institute of Science and Technology.

In a typical e-learning classroom, students generally don't see the teachers, but there is a common white board where study material is shared. However, students can hear their teachers. In certain e-learning classrooms, they have recorded as well as live sessions.

Another coaching institute, BASE provides special online test series for aspirants of IIT-JEE, AIEEE, CET and Comed-K.

"The online test presents tests and instant assessments that enable students to prepare optimally for the highly challenging exams," said an official of BASE.
