In October 2025, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) raced past some other manufacturers, registering record retail sales according to the latest FADA report. TMPV recorded sales of 74,705 units in October, outpacing rivals Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), which sold 66,800 units, and Hyundai, which recorded 65,045 units for the same period.
These figures reflect month-on-month growth for TMPV, which had retailed 41,151 units in September and 38,286 in August 2025. The October figure was not only its highest for the period, but also solidified TMPV's lead in the segment by 7,905 units over M&M and 9,660 units over Hyundai. In August. TMPV trailed behind M&M by 5,346 units and Hyundai by 3,940 units.

TMPV's current range of models includes Nexon, Safari, Harrier, Tiago, Punch, Tigor, and Altroz, supporting its monthly performance. The growth can also be attributed to the company's strategic launches and network expansion. TMPV reported strong showroom footfalls in October, attributed to festive sentiment and GST reforms.
Meanwhile, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle is preparing to launch its latest model in the Indian market, the Sierra SUV. This will revive the name of the vehicle which was discontinued by the brand earlier with modern design elements and tech. It is expected to have diesel, petrol, and electric powertrains in the country.
