SMK Cygnus Flip Back Helmet

SMK Helmets, the premium brand from Studds Accessories Ltd., unveiled an expanded lineup of helmets and riding gear at India Bike Week 2025 in Panchgani on December 19. The launch featured advanced safety features and designs for various rider needs, including the new SMK Cygnus flip-back helmet.

Cygnus Flip-Back Helmet

The SMK Cygnus stands out with its 180-degree rotating chin bar, enabling conversion between full-face and open-face modes to suit different riding postures, such as upright cruisers or sport leaning positions. It holds P/J certification, one of the few in India, with an Energy Impact Resistant Thermoplastic (EIRT) shell and multi-density EPS liner for impact protection. Features include a wide anti-scratch visor with Pinlock MaxVision, integrated sun visor, premium ventilation, and sizes from XS to XXXL in four solid colors across two shell options; it will retail between Rs 17,000 and Rs 20,000.

Ares and Nova Models

SMK introduced the internationally acclaimed Ares and Nova helmets to the Indian market. The Ares offers a detachable sun peak and internal sun visor for dual-sport use, while the Nova provides an eyeglass-friendly design with an ultra-wide vision field. Both emphasize aerodynamic build and comfort, priced from Rs 6,350 for Ares and Rs 3,900 for Nova.

Delta Demi-Jet Series

The Delta series targets demi-jet users with Delta City for urban commuters, featuring a lightweight EIRT shell, integrated clear visor, quick-release buckle, and moisture-wicking interior in gloss/matt finishes across five colors and sizes XS to XXL. Delta Tour suits long-distance riders with dual external visors, contoured cheek pads, Bluetooth speaker pockets, and options in five colors from S to XXL. Pricing starts at Rs 3,299 for both models in two shell sizes.

New Graphics and Jackets

SMK showcased fresh graphics like Agnar Cyborg, Typhoon Rival, Gullwing Sonic, and Stellar Sport Flight on select helmets. Complementing these, CE Level A certified jackets include summer models Infinity Rush and Gladiator with 600D Oxford fabric, mesh panels, and removable waterproof liners; Apex Adventura for touring with waterproof/thermal liners, reflective panels, and hydration system; and Athenova for women with waterproofing and thermal liner. Jackets range from S to 4XL.

Company Leadership and Background

Sidhartha Bhushan Khurana, Managing Director of Studds Accessories Ltd., highlighted the rising demand for premium gear amid growing motorcycle adoption in India. Studds, the world's largest two-wheeler helmet manufacturer by volume in 2024 per CARE Report, produced 9.04 million units annually across three facilities and sold 7.10 million in Fiscal 2024, marketing Studds and SMK in over 70 countries.
