Nissan launched its flagship SUV, the X-Trail, in the Indian market in 2024 at a starting price of Rs 49.92 lakh (ex-showroom). To be sold in the country as a CBU, the car, at the time, was regarded as a rather expensive model by experts, considering what it had to offer. Reportedly, a large unsold inventory of the Nissan X-Trail SUV is being sold to Big Boy Toyz, and the company is retailing the Skoda Kodiaq rival at a sticker price of Rs 29.50 lakh. Listed on BBT's website (Cars.Co.In), the numerous examples of the X-Trails are listed as unregistered models with 0 km odometer readings.

Diving into the details, the Nissan X-Trail is being sold with a discount of up to Rs 21 lakh. This brings the price of the SUV down to Rs 29.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This translates to a drop of around 40 per cent. To add context, the Nissan X-Trail is now priced a little too close to the top-spec Toyota Innova Hycross, which costs Rs 31.34 lakh, ex-showroom.
Addressing the subject, Nissan Motor India spokesperson said, "The 4th Generation Nissan X-TRAIL is a globally renowned product, true to Nissan's design excellence and is an example of our Japanese SUV DNA. Bulk queries and corporate deals for products are a normal industry practice through authorised dealer partners and the details of the same remain confidential."
