Honda Cars India has the third-gen and the second-gen Amaze on sale in India. Now, the Japanese automaker seems to be planning on phasing out the second-generation version of the compact sedan in the country. Such are the speculations as the carmaker has delisted the VX variant from the official website. Before this update was in place, the automaker had the two trim levels of the car on sale, i.e., the S and VX.

The VX was the top-end trim of the vehicle before it was discontinued. Now, the car only has the S trim. It will be sold at a starting price of Rs 7.63 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual transmission version and Rs 8.53 lakh (ex-showroom) for the CVT. Initially, the car had three trim levels- E, S, and VX. Among these, the E variants were discontinued in 2023.

The S trim of the car comes with features like an LCD screen audio system with Aux-in, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. The list also includes a steering-mounted audio control, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, head-adjustable driver's seat, rear center foldable armrest, dual-tone interior, and more.

Meanwhile, the third-gen Amaze takes things up a notch with a suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, a six-speaker sound system, a larger infotainment screen, projector fog lamp, semi-digital driver's display, connected car tech, remote engine start, and more. With all of this, it has a starting price of Rs 8.19 lakh (ex-showroom), which goes up to Rs 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, powertrain-wise, the car is the same as its predecessor, with the same petrol engine and the same output.
