- Kawasaki UK teased a new adventure motorcycle likely named KLE650 in early 2026
- The teaser shows a tubular trellis frame and dual front disc brakes, hinting more power
- An Australian filing confirms Kawasaki’s plans for a KLE650 model and a variant LE650N
Kawasaki appears to be readying a bigger adventure motorcycle, with a new teaser from Kawasaki UK pointing to what is likely the KLE650. The timing follows the revival of the KLE badge with the KLE500 earlier in 2026, and an Australian type-approval filing has already surfaced with the KLE650 (SE) name.
Kawasaki KLE650: Teaser
The short video offers only partial views of the motorcycle, but a few details stand out. The frame is a tubular trellis unit finished in Kawasaki's familiar metallic green, much like the one on the KLE500.

The right-side clutch cover looks different from the KLE500's, and the gap between the frame and engine is noticeably tighter, suggesting a new or revised engine. Crash bars, indicators, and auxiliary lights are visible too, with the crash bars appearing similar to those on the KLE500.
A dual-disc brake setup at the front is also visible, whereas the KLE500 uses a single disc. Taken together, these details point to a motorcycle with more performance and equipment than the KLE500.

An Australian type-approval filing dated October 16, 2026, lists a machine with the LE650L type designation and the model name KLE 650 (SE), along with a variant marked LE650N. This is the clearest indication so far that Kawasaki is working on a larger KLE model.
There has been no official announcement from Kawasaki, so the bike's final design, specifications, and position in the range remain unconfirmed. The registration does, however, confirm the company is planning to expand its adventure bike offering beyond the 500cc class.

Engine And Market Position
Kawasaki's 649cc parallel-twin engine already powers a wide range of models, from cruisers to road-biased tourers and neo-retro machines. What the brand has lacked is a proper off-road-capable machine in this segment.
With Kawasaki's renewed focus on adventure, seen in the updated KLX300 range and the KLE500 SmartRide SE, it makes sense that the company is now turning its attention to a larger segment. The timing of the teaser and the Australian registration has fuelled speculation that the KLE650 could be unveiled at EICMA 2026, though Kawasaki has not confirmed any launch date or market plans.
