The newly-elected chief minister of Tamil Nadu - C. Joseph Vijay, showed a number plate on a Maruti Suzuki Fronx on one of his flick - GOAT. The number plate went viral, as Vijay took oath as CM of Tamil Nadu. Now, the director of the movie - Venkat Prabhu, has gifted the very number plate, which reads as 'TN 07 CM 2026' to the actor. Also, director Venkat Prabhu shared pictures on the social media platform X (Formerly Twitter) of him gifting the number plate to the new Tamil Nadu CM.
He posted pictures with the caption, "A history is made. From a thought to a vision to this moment. Happy to have met our honourable CM @TVKVijayHQ na today and present the very first manifestation of #GOAT. This is only the beginning. TN07CM2026."

Step 2: Check Availability of Your Preferred Number

You can then search for your desired number and check whether it is available, reserved, or already allotted.
Step 3: Register and Create an Account
Create an account using your mobile number and OTP verification. This account will be used to participate in the bidding or direct allocation process.

Step 4: Pay the Reservation Fee
Once the number is available, you must pay a non-refundable reservation fee to block it. The fee depends on the category of the number (for example, single-digit, double-digit, triple-digit, or other fancy combinations).
Step 5: Participate in the E-Auction (If Applicable)
- High-demand numbers go through an online auction.
- Auctions typically run for 3-5 days
- Participants can place multiple bids
- The highest bidder at the end of the auction wins the number
- Some numbers are allotted directly at fixed prices without auction.
Step 6: Make the Final Payment
If you win the auction, you must pay the remaining balance amount within the stipulated time. Failure to do so can result in cancellation and forfeiture of the initial fee.
Step 7: Assign the Number to Your Vehicle
After payment, the chosen number is reserved in your name. You must register your new vehicle within the validity period (usually 90 days) at the selected RTO to get the number officially assigned.
