Ducati recently showcased the 2023 Panigale V4 R in Mumbai, giving enthusiasts a closer look at the very machine that carried Alvaro Bautista to his WorldSBK championship win. The motorcycle, part of a private collection, was displayed at an exclusive gathering for select automotive fans.
This particular Panigale V4 R was the bike Bautista rode during his record-breaking 2023 season with the Aruba.it Racing-Ducati team, including his victory in Round 5 of the championship. Finished in Ducati's distinctive Giallo Yellow livery, the motorcycle stands as a symbol of one of the brand's most successful campaigns in modern Superbike racing.
Underneath its striking paintwork lies a 998cc, liquid-cooled V4 engine producing over 235 bhp, paired with a lightweight chassis that tips the scales at just 168 kg with fluids. The combination of MotoGP-inspired aerodynamics, advanced electronics, and the high-revving Desmosedici Stradale R engine made the Panigale V4 R a formidable force on track.

In 2023, Bautista's dominance was clear-27 race wins, 31 podiums, and a record 628 points secured the championship well before the season finale. Ducati, in turn, achieved the highest number of wins by a single manufacturer in a WorldSBK season, cementing the Panigale V4 R's place in racing history.

For enthusiasts in Mumbai, the event was a chance to witness firsthand a motorcycle that not only defined a season but also highlighted Ducati's ability to blend cutting-edge technology with racing heritage.
