Three-time MotoGP race winner Aleix Espargaro is putting his personal Aprilia RS-GP20 up for sale in a UK auction organized by Iconic Auctioneers. The RS-GP20 marked a major step forward for Aprilia during the 2020 MotoGP season, featuring a newly developed V90 engine, enhanced aerodynamics, a redesigned double-rail alloy frame, and a seamless transmission system. Espargaro campaigned the machine alongside British rider Bradley Smith, making it a significant piece of racing history. The auction offers enthusiasts a rare chance to own a factory-spec MotoGP bike directly linked to Espargaro's career.
Aleix Espargaro received his 2020 RS-GP20 from Aprilia as a gift in 2022 and has remained its sole owner since. The Spanish rider preserved the bike within his private collection, meaning it has not been used for quite some time, according to Iconic Auctioneers.
This RS-GP20 will headline 'The Iconic Sale at Race Retro 2026' on February 22 at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry. Alongside the bike, Espargaro is also offering his helmet, leathers, boots, and gloves from that season.

Aleix Espargaro, now serving as one of Honda's primary MotoGP test riders, is most recognized for his long association with Aprilia. After a challenging two-year spell with Suzuki between 2015 and 2016, he joined the Noale-based manufacturer, where the early seasons proved equally demanding.

Aprilia's RS-GP, introduced in 2015, struggled to deliver competitive results despite years of development. Espargaro, however, played a pivotal role in guiding the project, helping the team refine its prototype and establish a clear direction. His efforts culminated in the RS-GP evolving into a consistent front-runner by 2022. Even after Espargaro retires from full-time racing in 2024, the RS-GP remains one of the strongest contenders on the MotoGP grid.
