- Three brothers died in a high-speed crash in Madhya Pradesh while riding one bike without helmets
- They collided with a stationary trolley loaded with bricks after attempting risky overtakes on a highway
- Friends filming the incident also crashed into the trolley and were seriously injured
A tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh has claimed the lives of three brothers, leaving their family in mourning. The incident, captured on video, unfolded in Mauganj District, highlighting the dangers of high-speed riding without safety measures.
What Happened?
The footage, recorded by two friends on a separate motorcycle, shows Uplaksh Kol, Amrish Kol, and Hemraj Kol riding triple on a single bike. None of them wore helmets as they weaved through traffic at high speed, attempting to overtake vehicles, including a truck. One of the riders was seen holding what appeared to be a pistol, heightening the risk.
Moments later, disaster struck as they tried to pass the truck, a stationary trolley loaded with bricks was parked ahead. Unable to brake in time due to their speed, the bike collided head-on with the rear of the trolley. The impact was severe, and all three brothers lost their lives at the scene from their injuries.
The friends filming the video were on the second bike, trailing closely. They too crashed into the trolley and suffered serious injuries, requiring hospital treatment.

Factors Behind Fatal Highway Crash
Triple Riding: It is essential to avoid riding a motorcycle with three people on it. An overloaded motorcycle becomes difficult to maneuver and hard to control at high speeds. Following these basic rules while riding can significantly reduce the risk of a crash.

Wrong Overtakes: The rider in the video is speeding and lane splitting without being aware of the traffic, with risky maneuvers on the highway. Multiple overtakes, all from the left side, eventually led to the crash. Overtaking from the right side brings the vehicle into the peripheral vision of the driver ahead, ensuring that necessary space is provided.

Missing Riding Gear: Another one of the critical mistakes was their lack of riding gear, which contributed to the injuries that resulted in the deaths of all three. At the time of the incident, none of them were wearing helmets or any other safety equipment. Although wearing helmets is mandatory, many riders often neglect this important safety measure. The use of this safety gear reduces the risk of fatal injuries.
Riding Culture: Motorcycles are machines that reward skill but quickly punish mistakes. Over the years, the Indian riding community has matured significantly; however, incidents like the crash remind us that there is still work to be done. The rider in the video seems to have been focused on creating a video while ignoring everything else.
Truck Parked On Road: The truck parked on the road was the final straw. The driver left his vehicle on the side of a busy road, which was meant to be a functional area.
