Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the updated 2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, bringing a mix of subtle design revisions, enhanced technology, and a revised powertrain lineup. Based on the recently updated S-Class, the Maybach version continues to focus on ultra-luxury while adding more personalisation and performance.
2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class: Exterior
The exterior gets updates in line with the standard S-Class facelift but retains distinct Maybach styling elements. The grille is now larger and features illumination, along with signature vertical slats and Maybach branding. Lighting elements have also been updated, including new headlamp signatures and redesigned tail-lamps. Additional highlights include new alloy wheel designs and expanded customisation options under the Manufaktur programme, offering more paint finishes and dual-tone combinations.

Inside, the focus remains on rear-seat comfort, with upgraded materials and new upholstery options, including a leather-free alternative. The dashboard now features the updated MBUX Superscreen with Maybach-specific graphics and themes.

Under the hood, the 2026 Maybach S-Class introduces updated powertrain options. The S 580 variant uses a revised V8 engine producing around 530 hp, supported by hybrid assistance for improved efficiency and performance.

In select markets like the US and UAE, the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 will continue with a V12 engine, employing the 6.0-liter powermill that delivers 630 hp of peak power. While other regions, including India, are expected to receive a more powerful 4.0-liter V8 alternative delivering 612 hp. A plug-in hybrid variant is also available internationally, offering an electric-only driving range of close to 100 km.
2026 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class: India Launch
The updated Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is expected to arrive in India after the standard S-Class facelift, likely in 2027. As before, local assembly is expected for select variants, with prices anticipated to exceed Rs 3 crore given the added features and technology.
