2026 Kawasaki Versys 650 Launched In India At Rs 8.63 Lakh

Kawasaki India recently launched the 2026 version of the Ninja 650. Now, the brand has introduced the updated version of the Versys 650 in the country at a starting price of Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it more expensive than the previous model year version by Rs 15,000. The middle-weight adventure tourer was launched earlier in the international market with aesthetic upgrades. However, there were no mechanical changes in the motorcycle. The same thing has been adopted in the Indian market.

In its latest avatar, the Kawasaki Versys 650 gets a new paint scheme. This is a dark shade consisting of Metallic Graphite Gray with Metallic Spark Black. This version is currently on sale alongside the MY25 version, which has slightly different paint. The rest of the elements remain the same, with a high beak, twin headlamp setup, with a windscreen.

In terms of features, the motorcycle gets a 4.3-inch TFT colour instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Apart from that, the list of features includes KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), Economic Riding indicator, four way adjustable windscreen, and ABS for added safety.

Powering the Kawasaki Versys 650 is the same 649 cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine, which is tuned to produce 67 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 61 Nm of peak torque while revving at 7,000 rpm. The power is routed to the wheel using a six-speed gearbox.

The engine is housed in a tubular diamond steel chassis suspended on an inverted fork with adjustable rebound damping and spring preload adjustability at the front, along with a single-shock with remote spring preload adjustability at the rear end. Braking is the responsibility of the 300 mm dual semi-floating disc at the front with dual-piston calipers and a 250 mm single disc with a single piston at the rear.

The Kawasaki Versys 650 features a wheelbase of 1,415 mm, ground clearance of 170 mm, a seat height of 845 mm, and a curb weight of 220 kg, with an estimated dry weight of 201 kg. Meanwhile, the fuel tank has a capacity of 21 litres.
