Developed nations being unreasonable: India

Copenhagen: Will nations break their log jam at Copenhagen and come out with a climate change draft? Amid the chaos UN secretary general Ban Ki Moon urges negotiators to put aside their differences.

Developed nations are being unreasonable and are a serious hurdle to the success of Copenhagen, India's Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh told NDTV. The minister said the best he expected was a renewed mandate for negotiations to continue into 2010.

He said unless a miracle takes place over the next two days there will be no deal, that's because developed nations are being unreasonable.

India is disappointed he added but we have not been confrontational, India wants to be the bridge between the developing and developed nations.
