Voting for the first of the controversial five-phased panchayat polls in West Bengal has begun. But despite stringent security arrangements, incidents of violence are already being reported. Senior CPM leader Surya Kanta Mishra was heckled by supporters of the ruling Trinamool Congress in West Midnapore after he cast this vote this morning.
