EC Freezes TMC Name, ‘Flowers & Grass’ Symbol Amid Factional Dispute
The Election Commission has frozen the All India Trinamool Congress name and its reserved "Flowers & Grass" symbol as an interim measure amid the factional dispute involving the Mamata Banerjee and Ritabrata Banerjee camps. Both groups have been asked to submit preferred new names and free symbols for the upcoming West Bengal bypolls. Mamata has protested the order, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has backed her position.
