Despite extensive programmes like the Bal Sanjivani Abhiyan, a campaign aimed to bring down malnutrition, children in India continue to die. Madhya Pradesh remains one of the worst offenders in the last two weeks, 12 children have died in one village alone. A Korku couple lost their daughter to measles. She couldn't fight a common childhood infection because she was severely malnourished. She could barely stand even though she was three-years-old.
