Jnaneshwari train derailment: Mamata admits Maoist link

A year and a half after the Jnaneshwari train disaster, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has, for the first time, admitted that Maoists were behind the derailment that killed at least 140 people. In the past, she had always claimed the disaster was the result of sabotage, but never named the Maoists and instead indirectly blamed the CPM for it. Even now, while admitting the Maoist link, Mamata Banerjee continued to bracket the Maoists with the Marxists. The CPM has demanded an apology.
