Goa means different things to different people. It is the perfect holiday spot for the reclusive or adventurous, a bohemian rhapsody for the hippie and is viewed as prime land for the mining lobby. But over the years, local protests have gathered momentum there as residents try to save their state. Those are angry voices that one wouldn't associate with Goa's 'sussegad' or laid-back image.
