While the Congress at the Centre is busy issuing clarifications on the Rs. 4000 crore VVIP chopper scam, the party has called for an inquiry in a deal made by the BJP-led Rajasthan government in 2004. The BJP government led by Vasundhara Raje bought an Agusta A-109 E chopper for Rs. 20 crore from AgustaWestland, an anglo-Italian firm owned by Italian defence giant Finmeccanica.
