Guwahati Student Dies After Homestay Incident, Father Alleges Gangrape
A 22-year-old Gauhati University student has died after being found critically injured at a homestay in Guwahati’s Azara area. Her father has alleged gangrape, while her male friend, Ashik Ali, has been arrested after reportedly claiming that she died by suicide. The student had allegedly made an SOS call to her mother, saying she was being attacked and could not breathe. The CID and forensic teams are investigating the case, amid protests over her death.
