The political war between Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay and DMK Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin has intensified ahead of the October 6 Madurantakam and Dharapuram bypolls. Vijay has described the DMK as an "evil force," while Udhayanidhi has hit back with slogans and attacks targeting TVK. The BJP has also criticised Udhayanidhi's use of religious phrases in his counterattack.
