Onam, the harvest festival, is celebrated in Kerala on Friday. One of the more colourful aspects of the festival is Kummatti Kali, a traditional dance performed in central Kerala's Thrissur by both children and adults. Artists wear beautiful masksand colourful masks of Gods and Goddesses, which they prepare for the big day. Wearing masks, they perform Thrissur's traditional dance Kummati Kali or the mask dance.
