London Olympics: How Indians fared on Day 5
Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap defeated Vietnamese Tien Minh Nguyen with ease in straight games in the men's singles to move into the pre-quarterfinals at the London Olympics.

India's Rahul Banerjee shoots during the elimination stage at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. He secured a rare win for India in the Olympic archery individual event only to crash out in the next round. His teammates Jayanta Talukdar and Chekrovolu Swuro were already eliminated from the competition.

It was not all good news from Wembley. Jwala and Ashwini showed excellent form to beat their opponents from Singapore in straight sets. They however failed to meet the required margin and the win proved not enough to take them to the next round.
The sad news spilled over to the tennis court where Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna crashed out as well.
