CLT20: Sydney Sixers hand Chennai Super Kings a stunning defeat

Shane Watson has been in prime form since the Pakistan series, he continued that in the World T20 and was looking to run away with the match even today with a 46 off 30 balls before being brilliantly run-out by Aussie mate Ben Hilfenhaus, albeit with an 'unseen' deflection from MS Dhoni.

R Ashwin, as usual, was the go to man for Dhoni. His figures of 2/32 were not enough, though, to keep Sydney in any sort of check.

Chennai Super Kings did not start well in the massive chase of 186 runs with Murali Vijay cleaned up by a beautiful in-swinger from the ever growing-in-stature Mitchell Starc.

A lot was hurled on the shoulders of Mr. Cricket who for once could not deliver up to his standards and was out for 16 off 19. Team was 3/67 when he left the crease caught by Lumb off O'Keefe.

It was CSK's and probably India's best T20 player overall, Suresh Raina, who played the innings of the day along with Faf du Plessis to give them some hope. Raina scored 57 and Plessis, carrying on with his World T20 form, got 43.

Chennai Super Kings might have had a lot of fan following but the target was way too much to handle in the end. Probably, teams should bat in South Africa rather than chase as they have been doing in the current CLT20.

Mitchell Starc and Moises Henriques took 3 wickets each while Henriques, who was the man of the match too, also got a blistering 49 to lead Sydney Sixers to an easy win in the end.
