On June 15, the actress was found unconscious in an LA hotel room. She was said to be suffering from exhaustion, but was not taken to hospital, according to a spokesperson. Lindsay partied until the early hours just one day after being treated for exhaustion.
Lindsay attended the annual White House Correspondents' Dinner by US President Barack Obama on April 30, 2012, in a beautiful black gown.
On January 16, 2012, the actress was spotted in a nude gown for the Weinstein Company 2012 Golden Globe After Party at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
Lindsay has been in an out of drug trouble. She was released from jail on August 2, 2010 after serving 13 days of a 90 day sentence she was handed when a judge ruled she had violated her probation in a 2007 drug case by failing to attend alcohol education classes. Lindsay was kept in a sequestered unit of the woman's prison which has housed other celebrities like Paris Hilton and Michelle Rodriguez.

Her first auditions for TV did not go very well and Lindsay was about to give up when she was hired for a Duncan Hines commercial. She went on to appear in over 60 commercials.

In 2003, Lindsay won an award for Breakthrough Performance at the 2004 MTV Movie Awards for her role in the family comedy Freaky Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis.
In 2004, Lindsay appeared in the hit Mean Girls with two other soon-to-be-famous actresses, Rachel McAdams and Amanda Seyfried. LiLo became a paparazzi favourite after Mean Girls.
Herbie: Fully Loaded fetched her mixed reviews. In 2006, LiLo played the lead in romantic comedy Just My Luck. The movie was a failure at the box office.
In 2007, Lindsay went in for an appendix surgery due to which her movie I Know Who Killed Me was put on hold. Later in the month she entered a drug rehabilitation center but continued shooting for the film. She had to then later withdraw from a a film adaptation of Oscar Wilde's A Woman of No Importance. According to her publicist, Lindsay needed time to focus on getting better.
Lindsay was voted No.10 on the list of "100 Sexiest Women" by readers of FHM in 2005. Maxim placed her at No. 3 on its 2006 Hot 100 list. In 2007, Lindsay placed at No. 1 on the Maxim "Hot 100".
In the same year, 2007, Lindsay checked herself in to the Wonderland Center rehabilitation facility. She issued a statement saying, "I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health". After a few months, she lost control of her car and ran the vehicle up a curb. Beverly Hills police also found a "usable" amount of cocaine in her car. Lindsay was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. Two days later, Lindsay checked into Promises Treatment Centers rehabilitation facility, where she stayed for 45 days. In July, 2007 Lindsay refused a field sobriety test in Santa Monica and was taken to a police station where her blood alcohol level was found to be above the legal limit.
She was again booked for possession of cocaine and misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. In August 2007, Lindsay entered Cirque Lodge Treatment Center in Sundance, Utah for a third stint at rehabilitation, staying until discharge on October 5, 2007.
In 2008, Lindsay launched a leggings line, whose name, 6126, was designed to represent blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe's birth date (June 1, 1926).
Same year it was reported that Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson were regularly seen being affectionate in public.
In the December 2008 issue of Harper's Bazaar she said "I think it's pretty obvious who I'm seeing ... I think it's no shock to anyone that it's been going on for quite some time."
While speaking about her sexual orientation, Lindsay said she was not a lesbian, but when asked if she was bisexual, she responded "Maybe. Yeah." She then added, "I don't want to classify myself."
