No rethink on my ticket: Jagdish Tytler

New Delhi:

Jagdish Tytler, the man at the centre of a raging controversy, after the CBI gave him a clean chit in the 1984 Sikh riots case said on Wednesday that he was told by the Congress party that there is no rethink on his ticket.

Tytler is contesting from North East Delhi in the coming Lok Sabha elections. On Tuesday, a journalist, Jarnail Singh, threw a shoe at Home Minister Chidambaram to protest against the CBI decision.

On Wednesday, while campaigning in his constituency, Tytler said that the majority of Sikhs are with the Member of Parliament.

"Sikhs are with me and are supporting me in my campaign."

When asked for his comments on the shoe-throwing incident that happened on Tuesday at the AICC head quarters, Tytler said, "Jarnail is with the Akalis and his actions were politically motivated."
