Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law in trouble

Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law in trouble
Hyderabad: Battered in the recent Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, nine-month-old Praja Rajyam Party of Telugu Megastar Chiranjeevi is now seemingly getting embroiled in an internal strife.

Chiranjeevi's Man Friday and brother-in-law Allu Aravind has now become the prime target of attack within the party, days after he came under fire from outsiders for causing the PRP's rout in general elections.

Senior party leaders, who attended the Political Affairs Committee meeting chaired by Chiranjeevi in Hyderabad on Thursday, reportedly spoke their mind against Aravind and wanted him to be axed from the PRP.

Allegations that Aravind, who produced many blockbusters in Telugu and Hindi like Ghajini, sold tickets in the elections, did the PRP in, the senior leaders reportedly felt.

Aravind himself lost the Lok Sabha election from Anakapalle constituency. A miffed Aravind reportedly offered to step down from the general secretary's post but Chiranjeevi was not willing to take it, a senior PRP leader said after the meeting.

Telangana protagonist and former home minister T Devender Goud too faced the ire of PRP leaders who held him responsible for the party's poor show in Telangana region. Goud himself lost the elections from Malkajgiri Lok Sabha and Ibrahimpatnam Assembly constituencies.
