Argument leads to double murder in Bangalore

Argument leads to double murder in Bangalore
Bangalore: Two people were killed in Bangalore after an alleged argument over a trivial matter.

The incident happened in the wee hours of Wednesday in the premises of an under-construction house. Four youth sneaked into the first floor of the house with the intention of having a few drinks.

The party continued till 1.30 am. But after a while, the four had an argument, which turned nasty. They separated into two groups, and started thrashing each other with iron rods lying at the construction site.

In the scuffle, Shivalinga and Dileep were seriously injured. Realising that this could mean trouble for them, the other two decided to take them to the ground floor, and kill them by hitting them with cement bricks.

But all the noise woke up the security guard and he switched on the lights. The scared assailants tried to hit the guard, but he escaped and hid in his quarters. He then called Satish, the owner, who in turn informed the police.

The police arrived at the spot shortly but Shivalinga had died even before he could be taken to the hospital. Cops rushed Dileep to Victoria Hospital, but the doctors there suggested that he be shifted to NIMHANS. Dileep however succumbed to his injuries on the way.

After preliminary investigations, the police say the deceased youth were construction workers.

"We have taken all available evidence in our possession. We got one bottle with arrack, and that shows that they had come here to drink. We will question the security guard and building owner," said HT Ramesh, Assistant Commissioner of Police.

The man who was constructing his dream house now has to visit the police station every day to complete all formalities.

"I was building my dream house, but this incident has marred it. Now I doubt my family members will want to stay here once the house is constructed," said the owner of the house.
