A photographer for news agency Reuters took a picture of a woman protestor using a riot police shield as a mirror to apply red lipstick moments before planting a kiss on it.

The powerful image was taken during demonstrations in Macedonia calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and his cabinet. According to Reuters, nearly 2000 protesters clashed with police and set rubbish bins on fire outside the government building in Skopje during the rally. The photo of the unidentified woman has created quite a stir on Twitter.

Several other eloquent pictures have also emerged from the protests.
In this one, unarmed protestors face the armed riot police.

Here, a young woman sits on the street, a police cordon in front of her.

A protestor faces off with the wall of shields before him.
