Dhaka: A major fire today caused widespread destruction in a garment factory in Bangladesh's Gazipur district.
As many as 10 fire tenders were rushed to Gazipur as the factory caught fire around 4 am, bdnews24.com reported. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
"About 50 to 60 machines of the factory's knitting section have been gutted," the factory's manager Tarik Chowdhury said.
