Kathmandu:
Maoist Party, which was claiming for the leadership of the new government in Nepal, has shown some flexibility in its stance as it decided to open all the options for the post of Prime Minister.
On conclusion of the standing committee meeting of the party, which is the largest political outfit in the Nepal's Constituent Assembly, its spokesman Dinanath Sharma said that the party was still in favour of consensus for the post of the Prime Minister.
He told media that the party has kept the options from within and outside the party for the July 21 election for the post of Prime Minister for the sake of peace and Constitution.
Earlier, the party had decided that only party chairman Prachanda can be the Prime Ministerial candidate and the Maoists will not join government other than one led by the party itself.
The Maoists held talks with Nepali Congress on Saturday to discuss matters relating to the formation of the new government. But the talks ended inconclusively.
However, the two big parties have decided to continue the talks for the sake of consensus.
