Even as the state prepares for assembly polls amid rising covid cases, the focus is perhaps on one man, Chief Minister N Biren Singh. Once a Congress heavyweight, Mr Singh has turned as the most credible BJP leader in the state. In the last five years he led as many as 16 Congress MLAs to BJP.
