Manipur is celebrating its 50th statehood anniversary today along with Tripura and Meghalaya. Even as the state prepares for assembly polls amid rising covid cases, the focus is perhaps on one man, Chief Minister N Biren Singh. Once a Congress heavyweight, Mr Singh has turned as the most credible BJP leader in the state. In the last five years he led as many as 16 Congress MLAs to BJP. In an exclusive interview to NDTV's Ratnadip Choudhury, Mr Singh talks on the key poll issues and strategies. He also shared his views on controversial AFSPA and on how BJP plans to get absolute majorityin the state.
