Indian students in the United States, including those from the elite Ivy League universities, are struggling to land jobs and even internships this summer amid a slowdown in job growth in the world's largest economy. US-based author Soundarya Balasubramani spoke with NDTV's Parmeshwar Bawa to discuss how Indians abroad are affected. She explains that "over-hiring" during the Covid pandemic and the extra steps required for work sponsorships lead to employers preferring locals over international students.
