"We Broke Windows, Brought Ropes": Eyewitness Describes Rescue Efforts
An eyewitness who helped rescue people from the deadly Malviya Nagar hotel fire described scenes of panic, thick toxic smoke, and desperate efforts by locals to save trapped guests. He said residents used ladders, ropes, hammers, and mattresses to help people escape through broken windows, while many victims are believed to have succumbed to suffocation, fear, and confusion amid the blaze.
