Over 400 farmer have committed suicides since 2014. Telangana is facing its third consecutive drought this year. It has been one of the highest rainfall-deficit states with its ground water levels dropping drastically in the last two years. With several crucial reservoirs almost empty, the state is facing a big water crisis not only in rural areas but also hi-tech cities, home to several IT firms. Tonight on a special edition of Agenda from Telangana, Uma Sudhir tells you what exactly is the reason behind the water crisis and how the government is planning to tackle the crisis.
