CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby has backed TVK chief Vijay amid the ongoing Tamil Nadu government formation developments, saying the actor-politician has assured the Left parties that he would stand against communal forces and uphold federal values. Speaking on TVK’s rise after the Assembly elections, M.A. Baby said Vijay personally met CPI(M) leaders and conveyed that his political position aligns with that of the Communist parties on key ideological issues. He also stressed that the people’s mandate in Tamil Nadu must be respected and warned against any attempt to prevent TVK from forming the government despite emerging as the single largest party.
