Vayu Shakti 2026: IAF Showcases Full-Spectrum Firepower, Precision Strike Capability In Rajasthan

The Indian Air Force’s mega firepower demonstration, Vayu Shakti 2026, commenced at the Pokhran range in Rajasthan in the presence of President Droupadi Murmu and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The exercise showcased the IAF’s operational preparedness, precision strike capability and multi-domain warfare strengths through synchronised day-dusk-night operations. Fighter jets, transport aircraft and helicopters, including Tejas, Rafale, Sukhoi-30MKI, Mirage-2000, C-17, Apache and Chinook, executed full-spectrum missions alongside advanced weapon systems such as Akash, Spyder, SRLM and CUAS. The drill also highlighted the IAF’s rapid response in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, reaffirming airspace dominance and indigenous defence capability under the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
