US Winter Storm Causes Major Air And Travel Disruptions, At Least 24 States Issue Emergency
A massive winter storm has slammed large parts of the United States, leaving nearly one million customers without power and forcing the cancellation of over 16,000 flights. Heavy snow, sleet, freezing rain and extreme cold are affecting around 245 million people across 40 states, prompting emergency disaster declarations in at least 24 states and Washington, D.C. Authorities warn the dangerous conditions could persist for several days.
