Trump Repeats India-Pak War Claim | Indian Passport Sees Highest Climb On Global Index

Donald Trump has claimed yet again that he stopped the recent conflict between India and Pakistan. He has also reiterated that five planes were shot down in the conflict. Trump's latest claims come just hours after the Indian envoy underlined at the UNSC that India ceased military activities only after a request from Pakistan. Meanwhile, the strength of the Indian passport dropped five spots last year. But this year, it has made the largest jump by climbing eight places - from 85th to 77th - according to the Henley Passport Index 2025 that was unveiled on July 22. The report ranks all the world's passports based on the number of destinations their holders can enter without a prior visa. Currently, India has visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 destinations in the world. Malaysia, Indonesia, Maldives, and Thailand are some countries that offer visa-free access to Indian passport holders. Countries such as Sri Lanka, Macau, Myanmar, etc., offer visa-on-arrival (VOA).
