Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson said Tuesday he had not discussed the U.S. seeking to takeover Greenland during a meeting with president Donald Trump. His comments come as the White House said Tuesday that “U.S. military is always an option,” even as a series of European leaders rejected Trump’s comments about seeking an American takeover of the world's largest island. "It didn’t come up in his meeting with us today and he and I haven’t had a discussion about it, so I don't know," Johnson said when asked about the statement from the White House.
