Tripura Youth To NDTV: “I Want Justice” After Racist Video Row
In an NDTV exclusive with Ratnadip Choudhury, Lesonjit Reang, the Tripura youth at the centre of the alleged racial harassment controversy, says the incident took place in Ahmedabad last month while he was looking for a job. Reang says he had no idea he was being recorded and learnt about the video only after it went viral. He also speaks about the everyday racial abuse faced by people from the Northeast and calls for justice and government action.
