India Nepal Relations | Proximity to Prosperity: The India-Nepal Opportunity

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka to Nepal, the world is seen Gen Z movements, resulting in regime change. Sharing his analysis of the situation, Nepal Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle said "all country cases are distinct and different". "I think, as the Chinese used to say, you don't really export revolutions, right? I don't think these things can be transplanted and copied blindly. These are born out of the distinct circumstances of the country. In our own case in Nepal, we had become from a very promising multi-party democracy in a highly diverse, heterogeneous, plural nation into a disgusting kleptocracy. It was an incestuous rotation of the same folks, unholy alliances, unprincipled combinations that didn't really care too much about creating jobs but rather about maintaining the status quo, which is their hold on power. This had, at least, really disappointed the young people and that moment of rupture was what we saw." Dr Wagle made it clear that it was "not a planned outburst".
