"Their Campaign Speeches...": Shashi Tharoor Slams BJP Over Rahul Gandhi Row
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor condemned the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi from the Lok Sabha after conviction in a criminal defamation case filed by a BJP leader in Gujarat. "You saw and heard a combative and refined Rahul Gandhi. It is unfair to Wayanad if disqualification is not reversed...The important thing is there is no precedent to this conviction. Two-year jail for this strikes me as unusual. This is a weak case. Look at the campaign speeches of ministers, even the Prime Minister," Mr Tharoor said.
