Tamil Nadu Elections | 'Vijay A Factor, Not A Threat': BJP Leader Annamalai Ahead Of Elections

In an exclusive conversation with NDTV, K. Annamalai expressed strong confidence in the NDA's prospects in Tamil Nadu, claiming a clear "wave" in favour of the alliance across regions - from Chennai to Kongu and southern districts. Campaigning in support of NDA candidates, he said anti-incumbency against the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam government is high, and predicted a decisive shift in power. On actor-politician Vijay, Annamalai acknowledged his influence but dismissed the possibility of him impacting NDA's path to forming government. He also claimed that women voters are "angry" and will play a decisive role, particularly in the context of the delimitation debate and recent political developments. The BJP leader, part of the National Democratic Alliance, said the alliance is focused on ground-level campaigning rather than optics, and expects results to reflect that momentum.
